Teachers of our group participated in a series of report conferences on Environmental Courses Teaching of Colleges and Universities


      From November 5th to 6th, a series of report conferences on Environmental Courses Teaching of Colleges and Universities (the 11th "University Environmental Curriculum Report Forum"), and the Enlarged Conference of Teaching Steering Committee of Environmental Science and Engineering Major were co-sponsored by National Center for Teaching and Research in Colleges and Universities, Teaching Steering Committee of Environmental Science and Engineering Major in Colleges and Universities of Ministry of Education, Higher Education Press and Tsinghua University in Beijing. PCOSS-Fellow Liu Qingling, Associate Professor Lu Xuebin and Research Associate Song Chunfeng of our group attended the conference. Besides, Research Fellow Liu Qingling and Research Associate Song Chunfeng made relevant reports at the conference.


       In order to effectively enhance and innovate the ability of course teaching in an information environment, deeply promote the integration of information technology and education and teaching, promote the application and sharing of high-quality educational resources, and improve teaching quality, this report conference was held on the theme of “The Construction and Application of Environmental Online Open Courses and the Reform and Innovation of Teaching Mode”. It focused on the following topics.
       1. Construction of environmental online open courses and reform of teaching content, teaching methods and teaching models
      2. Innovation and Practice of the Construction of Environmental Online Open Courses and Teaching Materials
      3. Innovation and Practice of the Construction of Environmental Online Open Course Group
      4. improvement of the teaching level and innovation ability of environmental courses

      The report conference is on the basis of the existing environmental national excellent courses, resource sharing courses, and online open courses’ represented by “MOOC” and taking the construction of online open courses’ system with Chinese characteristics as the core. The aim is to gather the construction achievements and experiences of environmental online open courses of environmental teachers in colleges and universities, delve into the environmental online open courses and the construction and application of online open course groups, explore and practice the remodeling of teaching content and the reform of teaching model, innovate the inquiring, discussional and participatory teaching methods with the combination of online and offline, continually gather consensus, gather advantages, build a new method, new model, new mechanism for the construction and sharing of environmental online open courses and online open course groups, practically Serve the majority of environmental course teachers to carry out the construction and application of online open courses, teaching reform, teaching research, and strive to improve the quality of environmental courses in the new situation, new stage and new characteristics.
      Research Fellow Liu Qingling of our group took a series of wonderful reports on how to improve the teaching content of the course and the quality of teaching with the theme of “teaching discussion of air pollution control engineering course”. On the subject of “Experimental Principles of Efficient Separation of Gas Pollutants”, Research Associate Song Chunfeng gave a related report on experimental teaching methods and interaction with students. Associate Professor Lu Xuebin , as a teacher of multiple courses, also carefully listened to the reports and discussed with these teachers on teaching methods and teaching experience.
