The first Academic Salon of the atmospheric environment and bioenergy research group was successfully held

In order to promote the mutual communication among the students in the group, broaden the academic vision and enhance the academic atmosphere in the group, the atmospheric environment and bioenergy research group specially carried out an Academic Salon and a thinking collision. At 2 p.m. on October 30, at the faculty home of the school of environment, the first Academic Salon invited 2018 doctoral student Zhihao to share his research direction and how to publish articles. The host of this academic salon is Fu Kaixuan, a 2019 doctoral student.
First of all, Mr. LV Xuebin made a brief speech. He said that the Academic Salon in the research group is to strengthen mutual understanding and learn from each other. Different topics can be cross studied, hoping to inspire you. At the same time, the holding of the Academic Salon is also conducive to the continuation of the unity atmosphere within the group.
Elder martial brother Yu Zhihao first introduced how to write and send articles. Elder martial brother Yu believes that science can be divided into three parts: discovering problems, explaining problems and solving problems. Most people are in the stage of solving problems, and discovering a problem is more important and more difficult than solving a problem. The depth of interpretative research is deeper. Each of us should try to find and explain problems.
In terms of topic selection ideas, senior brother Yu believes that selection is more important than effort. He should take the initiative to strive for the research direction he is interested in with the teacher. The topic selection is closely related to the journal he wants to invest in. The topic selection of review has a certain breadth and depth, and the depth of review determines what level of journals can be distributed; Experimental topics should learn to focus on the key and have a certain depth. When reading literature, we should treat each article with critical articles. Good articles have a certain discussion and a certain scientific logic. We should learn how to organize articles. Finally, how to choose journals. Journals are not only a platform for science communication, but also an industry. They have their own needs. They should find journals suitable for their own articles.
Next, senior brother Yu introduced his main research field: microenvironment effect of metal supported hollow carbon nano reactor and its application in biomass hydrogenation. Biomass based platform molecules are the "key bridge" connecting biomass raw materials and petroleum based energy. At present, the relatively novel catalytic material is MHC nano reactor (metal supported hollow carbon nanostructure). Senior brother Yu shows that the cavity confinement effect of MHC nano reactor is essentially a comprehensive effect formed by the superposition of electron metal carrier effect, substrate enrichment effect and substrate diffusion effect. The unique structure and electronic characteristics of MHC nano reactor have a significant impact on the formation of cavity confinement effect.
After the report, senior brother Yu Zhihao answered the questions of the teachers and students. Elder martial brother Yu gave suggestions to the freshmen of the first year of graduate school and the first year of doctoral school. They should read a large number of documents. The more they read, the more they know what kind of documents they need. After reading a certain amount of documents, it is easier to ask questions and find supporting documents to make assumptions. In view of Mr. Han's suggestion that it is easy to forget after reading the literature in the early stage, elder martial brother Yu suggested that we should have a thinking framework and form our own knowledge map and knowledge tree, rather than simply memorizing an article or a knowledge point.
