Recently, the Tianjin Municipal People's government issued the decision on Promulgating the 2021 Tianjin Science and technology award to reward scientific and technological personnel and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the city's scientific and technological progress and economic and social development. After the review of Tianjin Science and Technology Award Evaluation Committee and the review of Tianjin Science and Technology Bureau, the Municipal People's Government approved and awarded 13 Tianjin Natural Science Awards, 10 Tianjin technological invention awards and 174 Tianjin Science and technology progress awards in 2021
Among the awards awarded this time, the project "green process and mechanism of efficient depolymerization and high-value utilization of lignocellulose" jointly applied by Nankai University and Tianjin University won the second prize of Tianjin Natural Science. The project has carried out a lot of basic research work on the key scientific issues of "efficient depolymerization mechanism and green process construction of cellulose and how to realize its directional catalytic transformation to high-value chemicals", and put forward a series of green and efficient new technologies and methods for the refinement and high-value utilization of lignocellulose components, The basic theoretical system for the conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into high-value chemicals is constructed, which provides a theoretical basis and technical support for the conversion of agricultural and forestry wastes into high value-added biomass based chemicals and materials.
The winning project is in environ Sci. & Technol., Green Chem. And other journals have published more than 60 papers, and five papers have been selected into ESI highly cited papers. The published SCI papers have received extensive attention from peers at home and abroad. The number of SCI citations has reached more than 3000 times, and 8 representative papers have been cited 725 times by SCI. Five English Monographs in the field of biomass and bioenergy have been published, and the electronic version has been downloaded more than 100000 times. The project breaks through the traditional extensive and low value utilization method of lignocellulosic agricultural waste for fertilizer and feed, and lays a theoretical foundation for the fine and high-value utilization of all components of lignocellulosic biomass.
Professor Qi Xinhua of the school of environmental science and engineering of Nankai University led the application of the project, and the participants were Yu Hongbing, LV Xuebin, Guo Haixin, Zhang Luxin and Wang pan. Professor Lv Xuebin of the school of environmental science and engineering of Tianjin University is the third completed adult. His research results have developed dilute acid catalytic hydrothermal pretreatment technology, expanded the application scope of low solid concentration of traditional hydrothermal methods, and promoted the efficient recovery of cellulose components, the directional depolymerization of hemicellulose components and the inhibition of the formation of sugar derivatives, It has improved the systematic efficiency of subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation processes, and contributed to the establishment and development of the award-winning project for the green process of directional conversion of lignocellulose and its hydrolyzed sugar into a variety of platform compounds.
